Dr. Jihan Safwan Saade is a clinical assistant professor and PharmD preceptor at the school of pharmacy in the Lebanese International University (LIU). She holds both a BS in pharmacy and PharmD degrees from the Lebanese American University (LAU). During her pharmacy practice and throughout her studies at LAU, and later, her teaching job at LIU, she has earned valuable experience in clinical, hospital, and community settings. She had multiple training in various units, including internal medicine, intensive care, infectious diseases and many others. She has attended multiple national and international conferences, including those of the Lebanese Order of Pharmacits (OPL), Lebanese Society of Infectious Diseases & Clinical Microbiology, Arab Union, and ASHP midyear clinical meeting. She has a record of more than 18 approved abstracts by the ASHP and many are in the process of approval for publication in renowned journals. She has presented multiple CE accredited lectures at professional conferences. She is a registered pharmacist in the OPL and an ASHP member. She has been the coordinator of the pharmacy day at LIU, whose goal was to encourage students to spread awareness and education to patients in particular, and to the society as a whole. Her role as both, a teacher and health-care professional, has been to inspire future pharmacists to play an active, effective, ethical, and professional role in their communities.
