Khalid Eljaaly, PharmD, MS, BCPS, BCIDP is an associate professor in faculty of pharmacy and head of health interprofessional research branch in the university vice-presidency for development at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He is a consultant infectious disease pharmacist and the chairman of infectious disease pharmacy specialty network of Saudi Society of Clinical Pharmacy (SSCP). Dr. Eljaaly is also an honorary research fellow in college of pharmacy at University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ, USA. He completed his PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at SEMC, a Tuft-University affiliated hospital and his PGY2 infectious disease pharmacy residency at BIDMC, a Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospital in Boston, MA, USA. Then, he completed both antibiotic stewardship pharmacy fellowship and Master of Science in clinical translational research at University of Arizona. He is a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy scientific program committee of the 2022 global conference on clinical pharmacy and a member of the external affairs committee in the Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America. Dr. Eljaaly is a member of the editorial advisory board of ContagionĀ®, Saudi Journal of Clinical Pharmacy, which is owned by SSCP, and Antimicrobial Stewardship & Healthcare Epidemiology (ASHE), which is owned by Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA).
